LEGO Celebrates Women Who Build with “She Built That” Campaign

Building isn’t just for boys. Yet, a recent survey by the LEGO Group showed that 80% of adults still believe boys are better builders than girls. To challenge this, LEGO launched She Built That, a campaign to celebrate female creators and inspire girls everywhere to see themselves as builders and innovators.

The campaign shines a spotlight on the women shaping the world around us. Across London, landmarks like the London Eye and Waterloo Bridge displayed special plaques honouring the women who helped design and build them.

To bring even more excitement to the message, LEGO teamed up with Run-DMC. Their famous track It’s Like That has been reworked into She Built That – a celebration of girls’ creativity and skill. Joseph Simmons and Darryl McDaniels, from Run-DMC, said:

“We’re excited to see our classic anthem reimagined to celebrate the creativity and innovation of girls everywhere.”

With She Built That, LEGO is helping girls everywhere see that building big ideas and big dreams is for everyone.
